Sardinia is often referred to as the “Caribbean of Europe”. The island captivates with its stunning white sand beaches and sparkling turquoise waters. Its charming coastal towns and peaceful mountains and hills make Sardinia a dream destination for many travellers. 

On Italy’s southern coast, the Amalfi Coast captivates with its charming towns and dramatic coastal scenery, famous for its lemon groves.

Climbing to the nearly 300-metre-deep crater of Vesuvius is a must if you’re staying near Naples. You can drive up to 1,000 metres before parking and continuing on foot, or join a guided tour. The view from Vesuvius is spectacular, and the lava fields create an unforgettable atmosphere. 

The villages in Sardinia are considered some of the most beautiful in Italy. Time seems to stand still here. Take a tour across the island and let the charm of villages like Castelsardo, perched above the Gulf of Asinara, enchant you. Pack a picnic and enjoy.

In Rome, you’ll encounter ancient history at nearly every turn, with the Colosseum being one of the major highlights. Beyond the capital, Roman culture is pervasive throughout Italy. Particularly impressive is the ancient city of Pompeii, buried after the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79.

The Dolomites, with their distinctive peaks, steep cliffs, deep valleys, and clear blue mountain lakes, are some of Italy’s most beautiful mountains. The best way to experience this unique natural landscape is by hiking. The Dolomites also offer plenty for mountain bikers and climbers. 

Located on Sardinia’s east coast, this beach is accessible only by boat or on foot. Its white pebbles, turquoise water, and towering cliffs create a perfect setting for swimming or sunbathing. 

On Sardinia’s northwest coast, La Pelosa features fine white sand and shallow waters, ideal for a relaxing day. The small island offshore makes for a perfect photo.

On Sardinia’s south coast you will find this picturesque beach. Chia offers fine white sand, turquoise water and the highlight is a beautiful lagoon right by the beach. 

If you’re staying near Naples, Lido Mappatella in the Mergellina district offers stunning views of Vesuvius, and you can rent sunbeds at the beach clubs.
