The villages in Sardinia are considered some of the most beautiful in Italy. Time seems to stand still here. Take a tour across the island and let the charm of villages like Castelsardo, perched above the Gulf of Asinara, enchant you. Pack a picnic and enjoy.

In Rome, you’ll encounter ancient history at nearly every turn, with the Colosseum being one of the major highlights. Beyond the capital, Roman culture is pervasive throughout Italy. Particularly impressive is the ancient city of Pompeii, buried after the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79.

On Sardinia’s northwest coast, La Pelosa features fine white sand and shallow waters, ideal for a relaxing day. The small island offshore makes for a perfect photo.

On Sardinia’s south coast you will find this picturesque beach. Chia offers fine white sand, turquoise water and the highlight is a beautiful lagoon right by the beach.
