When is the best time to visit Malaysia?

Malaysia enjoys a tropical climate year-round, but the best time to visit Malaysia depends on the region you want to see. Generally, the dry season from May to September is ideal for visiting the west coast, including Penang and Langkawi. For the east coast, including the Perhentian Islands and Tioman Island, the best time is from March to September. Kuala Lumpur and the highlands can be visited year-round, but it's best to avoid the monsoon season from November to February.
