Sunny highlights in Mallorca

Valldemossa

This picturesque mountain village in the Tramuntana mountains enchants with its honey-colored stone houses and flower-adorned lanes. It became famous through the stay of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand in the Carthusian monastery. From here, you have a breathtaking view over Mallorca's west coast.

Cap de Formentor

At the northernmost tip of Mallorca, a spectacular landscape with rugged cliffs and turquoise sea awaits you. Drive the winding road to the lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic view. It's particularly romantic at sunset!

Cuevas del Drach

Dive into Mallorca's fascinating underworld! In the "Dragon Caves" near Porto Cristo, a unique natural spectacle of bizarre stalactite formations and underground lakes awaits you. The highlight is a classical concert on an illuminated boat – goosebumps guaranteed!

What is the best time to visit Mallorca?

The best time for your Mallorca holiday depends entirely on what you're planning to do. For sun worshippers and beach lovers, the summer months of July and August are ideal – temperatures are around 30 degrees Celsius and the sea is pleasantly warm. However, this is also the busiest time on the island.

If you prefer it a bit quieter but still want to enjoy nice weather, the months of May, June, September, and October are recommended. Temperatures are still mild, the sea is warm enough for swimming, and you can explore the island at your leisure.

For active holidaymakers and hikers, spring is perfect. In April and May, the island blooms in all colors and temperatures are pleasant for hiking. Autumn is also good for outdoor activities.

Sun, sea, and action: What can you do in Mallorca?

Water sports

Dive into the crystal-clear waters around Mallorca! Whether it's snorkeling, diving, stand-up paddling, or kayaking – you'll find perfect conditions for all kinds of water fun here. Boat tours along the coast, where you can discover hidden coves, are particularly popular.

Hiking in the Tramuntana mountains

Lace up your hiking boots and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Tramuntana! On well-marked paths, you'll hike through fragrant pine forests, past ancient olive groves, and enjoy breathtaking views of the sea. The long-distance trail GR 221 takes you right across the mountains.

Cycling

Mallorca is a paradise for cyclists! Whether leisurely tours through the plains or challenging mountain routes – there's something for everyone here. The route from Pollença to Cap de Formentor with its spectacular coastal views is particularly popular.

Wine Tasting

Did you know that Mallorca is also known for its wine? Visit one of the numerous bodegas in the interior and try the local drops. In the region around Binissalem, you'll find particularly many wineries offering tours and tastings.

Dreamy coasts: Mallorca's most beautiful beaches

Playa de Muro

his 6 km long sandy beach in the north of Mallorca is considered one of the most beautiful in Europe. Fine, white sand and turquoise water invite you to relax. The gently sloping shore makes it particularly family-friendly.

Cala Agulla

This picturesque bay in the northeast captivates with crystal-clear water and fine sand, framed by pine forests. Here you'll find a great mix of relaxation and water sports opportunities.

Es Trenc

If you're looking for a Caribbean feeling, this is the place to be! The unspoiled beach in the south of Mallorca enchants with white sand and turquoise water. A insider tip for nature lovers and nudists.

Cala Mesquida

This expansive bay in the northeast is a paradise for surfers and nature lovers. Surrounded by dunes and pine forests, you'll find a piece of original Mallorca here.
