Experience Vietnam up close: Popular travel destinations in Vietnam

From delightful coastal towns to bustling metropolises, Vietnam offers impressive destinations. Where will your Vietnam holiday take you?

Tam Kỳ

Tam Kỳ is a city in central southern Vietnam. You’ll love the tranquillity of Tam Thanh Beach and be amazed by the Tam Thanh Mural Village, an open-air art project showcasing vibrant wall murals on the houses.

Phu Quoc

Still untouched by mass tourism, the picturesque island of Phu Quoc in southern Vietnam is a fantastic destination. Unspoiled beaches, crystal-clear waters, and wild nature make for a spectacular setting.

Nha Trang

Beautiful sandy beaches, a diver’s paradise, and vibrant coral reefs are just some of the things that make Nha Trang special. Popular attractions include Monkey Island and the Long Son Pagoda Buddhist temple in southern Nha Trang.

Ho-Chi-Minh-City

For many tourists, Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, is the first stop in Vietnam. The country’s largest city offers a blend of contrasts, from an exciting nightlife and the Ben Thanh Night Market to historic temples and the Landmark 81 skyscraper.

The best time to visit Vietnam

Vietnam’s rainy season runs from May to October, making it risky to book a hotel during this time due to heavy and frequent rainfall. For a holiday in northern Vietnam, travel between October and April. Central Vietnam is best visited between February and May, while southern Vietnam is most beautiful between December and April. Once you’ve chosen your destination, check the local climate before booking.

From nature to relaxation: What to do in Vietnam

The sight of the landscapes, the hustle and bustle of the people and the delicious cuisine with its many exotic spices are an experience in themselves.

These activities will make your holiday truly unique:

Rice terraces of Sapa

For a different side of Vietnam, explore the rice terraces of Sapa. This mountain town is perfect for hikers keen to discover the stunning landscapes of Lao Chai province.

Discover the Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta is one of Southeast Asia’s most important rivers. A tour takes you through waterways, rice fields, coconut palms, small villages, and floating markets, offering an authentic glimpse of rural life in Vietnam. The country’s lifeblood presents a breathtaking and unforgettable scene.

Visit the Thap Ba Mud Bath

The thermal and mud baths at Thap Ba Hot Spring Center are a treat for the senses. Located outside the bustling coastal town of Nha Trang, you’ll find complete relaxation here. The mud is rich in minerals and has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects on the body.
